I was with the "Minks" today and it was a wonderful day in the field. The temperature when we woke was in the 20's but it warmed up throughout the day and by the time lunch rolled around adults and students alike were down to their t-shirts and we were basking in the sun. Throughout the day students examined the species richness of the sagebrush, aspen, and conifer communities and learned how organisms within those communities have adapted to their environment. Many fun games were played out in the field, each one teaching the kids a lesson about their surroundings. As the day portion of
the day wrapped up the kids were asked to describe their day in one word some of which included fantabulous, inspiring, different, amazing,
really fun, and spectacular. Looking forward to tomorrow!
